Observer
LANforge
Network Traffic Generator and Simulation
LANforge is perfect for Stress and Load Testing of networks and devices. The LANforge WiFire appliance is an excellent choice for testing Access Points and other
WiFi networks.
LANforge FIRE is used
for Traffic Generation and simulates the edge of the network under test.
LANforge FIRE is a network traffic generator that supports testing for
Ethernet, Wireless, VOIP and custom payloads. LANforge fire is used to test endpoint to end point for other wireless and satellite links.
The LANforge ICE configuration is used to
simulate the core of a network, and will be used to test and verify
equipment that communicates through the core. LANforge ICE is able to
emulate Wireless networks with settings for latency, throughput, and
packet degradation.
Network Analysis
Using Observer to
deploy and administer a wireless network:
- You
should complete site surveys before deploying access points (APs)
or locating stations.
- After
installation, you'll need to maintain accessibility and monitor signal
strength for legitimate users, while keeping unauthorized users and
rogue APs off the network.
- As the
number and types of wireless stations grows, tracking long-term trends
helps prevent wireless bottlenecks and channel interference problems.
Network
Instruments helps you to resolve these administrative headaches by integrating
wireless support throughout its entire line of Observer protocol analyzers: Observer, Expert
Observer, and Observer
Suite.
Observer
is a feature rich network analyzer, ideal for first time users. Observer
provides protocol analysis, network troubleshooting and long term trending
for all Wired and Wireless networks. Also, an SNMP management console and Web-based reporting are available.
