Device Monitor

Typically this monitors the status of network devices, and provides a graphical map of your network deployment enabling you to manage a large network from a map interface. These are most often Servers and Printers. Many provide features such as uptime monitoring of device response times, and a trigger-based notification system to warn of network problems as they happen. The tools will even monitor such things as services and ports. This creates a pro-active environment that reduces the amount of time users are impacted. They usually provide both local and remote monitoring on a connected network and more likely are to be used by System Administrators. Products
