APCON offers five software interfaces – each designed to meet the unique requirements of different users and organizations. Combined with an IntellaPatch® Series 2000 or 3000 switch, these tools provide the ideal solution for electronically sharing expensive monitoring equipment and testing devices across an entire network
WebX
WebX is the embedded web interface included on all IntellaPatch switches.
NetVisNetVis provides a simplified solution for electronically sharing network monitoring devices.
EnterPointEnterPoint offers a single point of control for interconnected APCON switches. With this web-accessible interface, users can electronically move and share analysis tools, switches, routers, servers and other devices across an entire network infrastructure.
CLICLI (Command Line Interface) programming interfaces allow users to control APCON switch functions with common scripting languages.
SNMPSimple Network Management Protocol, called SNMP, allows all IntellaPatch switches to be seamlessly integrated into existing network and element management platforms through APCON's standardized MIBs (Management Information Base).
The SNMP interface allows switches to be monitored for health, status, configuration and inventory, while also enabling users to configure all switch settings – making it equivalent to other embedded APCON management interfaces in terms of functionality.
APCON's SNMP interface supports SNMPv1, SNMPv2c and SNMPv3. APCON also offers a library of sample automation scripts for common applications, which enable users to streamline IntellaPatch operation.
WebX is the standard, embedded interface included with all switches.
This interface features a patching screen showing all ports available on a switch, as well as connection and link status. It offers the ability to customize port names, properties, groups and permissions. Users can easily navigate between patching, diagnostic and administrative menus.

NetVis is streamlined to simplify the task of connecting network points to monitoring devices.
This interface offers ports that are set into two customizable groups – such as SPANs/Taps and Tools – to simplify the process of making connections for troubleshooting and network analysis. A wizard-driven configuration of device properties and user permissions makes set-up quick and intuitive.
GUI-driven patching, aggregation and filtering commands maximize the reach of limited test and data capture resources.

EnterPoint delivers functionality long sought after in enterprise environments: a single, centralized point of control for network monitoring activities.
It enables IT staff to manage connectivity between Layer 2/3 switches and network analysis equipment more efficiently – helping make the standard of "five-nines" network availability more attainable.

Programming interfaces allow users to control APCON switch functions with common scripting languages. The latest release offers developers a syntax design that optimizes the CLI for writing scripts and automating tests of storage systems, servers, peripherals and operating systems.
| The CLI also provides an interactive mode that operates like a text-based wizard – guiding users systematically through sub-commands for setting system parameters. Users also have a batch mode that is optimized for scripting and automation. | ![]() |
