IntellaPatch Series 3000

The newest IntellaPatch switching family from APCON is the Series 3000. It supports faster data rates as they evolve with cutting-edge network technologies – including 10 Gbps Ethernet and 8 Gbps Fibre Channel – and also supports high performance SFP+ optics allowing for higher port density and less power consumption.

The Series 3000 can be populated with any Series 3000 blade and come in 1,2,4 and 8 port chassis.

The Series 3000 continues to innovate switch technology with its fault-tolerant dual controller cards. Unlike switches with single controllers that can halt network operations during a failure, the Series 3000 has high availability failover that ensures uninterrupted data flow to monitoring appliances.

IntellaPatch Series also offers hot-swappable power supplies and field-replaceable fans. They also allow hitless upgrades and a host of advanced diagnostic features, as well as secure, remote access for multiple users via an embedded web interface.

 

IntellaPatch Series 3000 Chassis

Four chassis sizes are available:

• ACI-3288 8 blade chassis - up to 288 ports

• ACI-3144 4 blade chassis - up to 144 ports

• ACI-3072 2 blade chassis - up to 72 ports

• ACI-3036 1 blade chassis - up to 36 ports

Populate with any Series 3000 blade.

IntellaPatch and IntellaFlex Series 3000 Blades

The Series 3000 chassis can be populated with any Series 3000 blade including IntellaFlex aggregation and filtering blades..

IntellaPatch Series 3000 Controller Cards

A primary feature in APCON′s enterprise architecture is fault-tolerant dual controller cards. Unlike switches with single controllers that can halt network operations during a failure, the Series 3000 has high availability failover allowing it to be used in-line in the production network of an enterprise. Series 3000 switches also feature separate data and control planes, which ensure that data ports are not on a base module or controller module — enabling users to swap a data blade without affecting normal switch operation.
